ELIZABETH MERCER
DSA, PRINCIPAL
Growing up in a creative home, Elizabeth was influenced by the arts early in life. This manifested at the young age of twelve, when she was chosen to perform a violin solo with the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra. She went on to excel in the arts after auditioning for enrollment as a senior in the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts high school where she studied visual arts. Elizabeth continued her education in this field and attended the Rhode Island School of Design, graduating with honors.
Prior to founding mercer INTERIOR in 2006, Elizabeth welcomed the opportunity to streamline, redevelop and modernize a workspace for New York City jewelry designer Lisa Jenks, LTD. While engaged in this project, she found her calling in designing efficient, refined and notable spaces.
Elizabeth’s background in music and art brings a deep understanding of the creative process and a wealth of design industry knowledge to each venture. Her down to earth manner, transparent style and professional practice, guides you throughout the process with devoted confidence. Fulfilling a client’s needs and wishes by giving them an expertly designed space and enjoyable surrounding is what drives Elizabeth’s work.
